Ray Pope has extensive experience in the field of information technology and consulting. Ray has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.
Starting in 2008, Ray served as the Head of Function - Technical Delivery at Lloyds TSB, where they led a team of 600 staff members and oversaw the running of various platforms. In 2010, they joined Lloyds Banking Group as a Senior Programme Manager, managing large integration programmes during the merger of LloydsTSB and HBOS.
In 2012, Ray worked as a Supplier Relationship Manager, Business Program Manager, and Consultant at NFU Mutual, where they supported IT and business areas within the Life Transformation Programme.
Moving on to 2013, Ray held multiple roles at Lloyds Banking Group as an Interim Head of Enterprise Systems and Interim Platform Lead - Business Process Automation, where they developed new functions and managed successful projects.
In 2015, Ray became the CIO at Tokio Marine HCC - International Group, responsible for all aspects of IT within the International Business, covering the UK and Europe. Ray managed IT strategy, project delivery, support and maintenance, infrastructure, security, and business intelligence.
From 2011 to 2016, Ray also ran their own consulting company, R J Pope Consulting Ltd, and served as Director and Consultant at Papal Software Limited.
Most recently, Ray has worked as the Chief Information Officer at MS Amlin, setting the IT strategy, improving service levels, ensuring regulatory compliance, and reducing costs.
In 2022, Ray served as the Interim Infrastructure Platform Lead at C. Hoare & Co., and in 2023, they will be joining NFU Mutual as the Transformation Programme Lead.

Ray Pope attended Seaford Head from 1979 to 1984, where they obtained their O Level (O/A level) in various subjects including Maths, Electronics, Control Tech, English, English Lit, Geog, Physics, Chemistry, and German. From 1984 to 1985, they studied at Lewes Technical College, earning an A Level in Computer Science and Maths. Finally, from 1985 to 1987, they attended Brighton MET and obtained a BTec HNC in Electronics & Telecommunications.
