Emily Klahn

Emily Klahn serves as the Director of Contracts & Compliance at NGA - Next Generation Advanced since May 2022, where leadership and supervision of the Contracts and Compliance team are key responsibilities, alongside oversight of Statements of Work, contract development, and solicitation responses. As the owner of EK Procurement Consulting LLC since April 2023, Emily utilizes 15 years of experience in California contracting and procurement to assist clients with government contracting and negotiation needs, focusing on SOW, RFP, and evaluation criteria. Previously, Emily held significant roles in various California government entities, including IT Manager I at the California Department of Technology, where innovative procurement approaches for complex IT acquisitions were developed, and Chief of Contract Management Services Unit at the California High-Speed Rail Authority, where management of sensitive contracts was prioritized. Emily also acted as a lead advisor at the State Controller’s Office, overseeing a diverse range of contractual agreements, and performed cost/benefit analysis as a Procurement Officer at the Department of General Services.
