Chris Kalaba

Chris Kalaba is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in turnaround management and engineering within the petroleum and petrochemical industries. Currently serving as Turnaround Manager at Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Limited Liability Company since March 2022, Chris oversees turnaround assurance and operational readiness, while preparing budgets and managing costs. Previously, Chris held various roles at SAPREF, including Engineering Manager and Turnaround Manager, where leadership in complex turnarounds was demonstrated, specifically during the highly complex 2013 turnaround. Additional experience includes significant contributions at Shell as a Senior Consultant and positions at Kentz, ZCCM, and as an Area Engineer at SAPREF, focusing on maintenance and project execution. Chris holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zambia.
