Noel Boylan

Noel Boylan is an accomplished geotechnical engineer and managing director at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute in Perth since August 2014, with a diverse background that includes roles as principal engineer and researcher. Currently serving on the Energy Advisory Board for Enterprise Ireland since January 2021, Noel supports the growth of Irish energy businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, Noel held the position of principal geotechnical engineer at Advanced Geomechanics Pty Ltd, where responsibilities included the design of anchors and subsea foundations, along with project management. Earlier experience includes serving as a senior geotechnical engineer at the University of Western Australia and conducting research in geotechnical engineering. Noel holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin.
