Raffaele Ragni is a highly experienced geotechnical engineer with a focus on offshore energy, currently working at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since January 2019. Raffaele also serves as a research associate at The University of Western Australia, specializing in suction caisson installation for offshore wind farm foundations and contributing to advanced geotechnical site investigation through the RIGSS Joint Industry Project. Raffaele completed a Ph.D. in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering at The University of Western Australia, where research centered on predicting the foundation performance of offshore jack-up drilling rigs in silty soils. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, both obtained from Università degli Studi di Perugia.
