Hanne Janes

Hanne Janes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. From 2021, they have been working as a Conduct Commissioner at Auckland Council. Prior to that, they were a Barrister from 1998 onwards. Hanne also served as an Independent Director at nib New Zealand starting in 2016. Hanne was a Member of the ProCare Charitable Foundation and held a role as the Commercial Director at ProCare Health Limited from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, Hanne was a Partner and Practice Leader of the Healthcare team at DLA Phillips Fox from 2013 to 2014.

Hanne Janes has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Politics, which they earned from The University of Auckland from 1983 to 1986. Hanne later pursued a LLB Honours degree at The University of Auckland from 1993 to 1995. In 2005, they were a Visiting Fellow in Competition Law at the University of Cambridge. Currently, Hanne Janes is attending Harvard Law School for an Advanced Mediation Workshop in the Program on Negotiation, which they began in 2015.
