Jiangsan Zhao has extensive work experience in the field of bioeconomy research. They began their career in 2018 as a Research Scientist at the NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research. In this role, they worked from February 2018 to April 2020. Following this, Jiangsan joined The University of Tokyo as a Postdoctoral Researcher in October 2020 and concluded their tenure there in November 2022. Jiangsan then returned to the NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research in December 2022, this time as a Researcher.
Jiangsan Zhao completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Plant Physiology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Following this, from 2014 to 2017, Jiangsan Zhao pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Root Phenotyping and Machine Learning from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU).
