Amanda Downs, PMP, has several years of experience in project management, business analysis, and data analysis. With their most recent role as a Technical Project Manager at NIC Inc., they lead operations and maintenance activities for the electronic Copyright Office (eCO) system, ensuring security patching, system outage resolution, and tier II and III service requests are addressed. Amanda provides regular status reporting to the IT section chief. Prior to that, Amanda worked as a Business Analyst at NIC Inc., where they developed requirements for software related to copyright claims processing for the Library of Congress.

Before joining NIC Inc., Amanda served as a Senior Business Analyst at Pyramid Systems, Inc., where they led initiatives for the development of a new loan origination and servicing suite for a government agency. Amanda analyzed existing system requirements and developed business rules for validation engines.

At Fannie Mae, Amanda had various roles, including Business Architect Associate, Governance Analyst III, and Loan Operations Specialist II. As a Business Architect Associate, they automated the detection of exception-based loans at delivery and developed a roadmap for a large-scale redesign of loan delivery data structure. In their role as Governance Analyst III, they managed escalation of lender agreement production issues and mentored junior team members. As a Loan Operations Specialist II, Amanda maintained mortgage lender pricing adjustments and led initiatives to streamline business processes.

Early in their career, Amanda was a Project Consultant at Fannie Mae, responsible for validating and correcting mass data sets and updating Investor Reporting information. Amanda also worked as a Consultant at Freddie Mac, where their responsibilities included data entry, analysis, validation, and reporting.

Throughout their career, Amanda has demonstrated their expertise in project management, business analysis, and data analysis, making their a valuable asset in various industries.

Amanda Downs, PMP holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminal Justice from American InterContinental University, which they obtained in 2006. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Criminal Justice from Howard Community College in 2005. In addition to their educational background, Amanda has acquired various certifications over the years. Amanda obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2022. Furthermore, they obtained the Agile Team Facilitator certification from ICAgile in September 2019, and the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert in April 2013.
