Denis Tomašević

Denis Tomašević has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Denis started their career as a System Engineer at Slovenijales in 1991, where they were responsible for supporting the company's network and overseeing projects for major banks in Slovenia. In 1996, they joined Unicom d.o.o. as the Head of Networking Solutions, where they managed a team and handled sales, system integration, and technical support for networking projects and products. In 1998, they moved to Astec d.o.o. as a Department Manager, leading IT professional services, IT projects, and consulting for government agencies and large Slovenian companies.

In 2008, Denis joined Halcom d.d. as the Corporate IT Manager, responsible for the IT operations and system support of banks using Halcom solutions. Denis also served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), overseeing ISO27001 Information Security Management System, software security, penetration testing, and other security-related subjects. During their tenure at Halcom, they held various roles, including Director of Operations from 2013 to 2017 and Chief Information Security Officer from 2017 to 2018.

Denis'smost recent role was at NiceHash, where they served as the Head of Infrastructure and Security starting from July 2018.

Denis Tomašević obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic from the University of Ljubljana in 1991. In addition to their degree, they also pursued several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2009, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA. Later, in 2011, they became a GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) through the SANS Institute. In 2012, they earned the GIAC Certified Web App Pen Tester (GWAPT) certification, again from the SANS Institute. Lastly, in 2014, they completed the GIAC Certified Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB) certification, also from the SANS Institute.
