Strategic Planning Engineer at Nickel Asia Corp

Marjorie Anne Picones has work experience in the mining industry. Marjorie Anne started their career as an intern at Philex Mining Corporation in April 2014. Marjorie Anne then joined Nickel Asia Corporation in August 2015 and held various roles including Mine Planning Engineer and Contracts Management Engineer. As a Mine Planning Engineer, Marjorie was responsible for designing mine production slices, coordinating with various departments, conducting economic analysis, and improving mining operations' efficiency. In their role as a Contracts Management Engineer, they handled contractors, monitored mining areas and equipment, managed billing and endorsements, controlled costs, and planned strategies for mine production and ship loading activities. Marjorie is currently working at Nickel Asia Corporation as a Strategic Planning Engineer, starting in April 2022.

Marjorie Anne Picones completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering at the University of the Philippines from 2009 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman from 2020 to 2022. In 2021, they also had the opportunity to be a Visiting Student Researcher at Università degli Studi di Salerno, where they focused on Water Quality and Wastewater Treatment Management and Recycling Technology/Technician. In terms of certifications, Marjorie obtained the "Mining Engineer" certification from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission in 2017 and completed the "Project Management Foundations: Requirements" certification from the Project Management Institute in July 2021.
