Yun Xue

Yun (Emma) Xue has extensive work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Yun (Emma) currently holds the position of Vice President of Data Science at NielsenIQ, a role they started in July 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Sr. Principal Data Scientist at Nielsen from August 2021 to July 2023, and as the Director of Data Science from July 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining Nielsen, Yun worked at Discover Financial Services as a Project Manager of Marketing Analytics from March 2012 to June 2013, and as a Senior Associate of Marketing Analytics from January 2011 to March 2012. Yun (Emma) also worked as a Statistical Consultant at Michigan State University from July 2009 to May 2010.

Throughout their career, Yun has demonstrated proficiency in various analytical techniques and tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python. Yun (Emma) has experience in providing insights and solutions for CPG and retail companies, conducting test strategies for advertising and promotions, implementing forecasting methods, and leading commercialization and automation efforts.

Yun (Emma) Xue has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics from Fujian Normal University (1999-2006), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics from Michigan State University (2006-2011).
