Joost Pothuis

Joost Pothuis is a seasoned professional in building regulations, currently serving as a senior advisor at Nieman Groep since March 2020. Notably, Pothuis played a pivotal role in the development of the Bouwbesluit 2003 and later contributed to the creation of the Bouwbesluit 2012 and the Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving as part of a small team. Prior to joining Nieman Groep, Pothuis accumulated extensive experience at Arcadis from 1991 to March 2020, where roles included senior consultant in the buildings division and senior advisor. Pothuis holds a Master's degree in Bouwkunde, Volkshuisvesting from Delft University of Technology, earned between 1984 and 1990.
