Dorry Franken

Dorry Franken is an experienced educator and artist, currently serving as a docent at Nieuwe Veste since January 2012, focusing on diverse artistic disciplines including drawing, printmaking, painting, and graphic design. Dorry also leads workshops for children and youth in collaboration with various organizations, including the GGD-Nieuwe Veste's 'Tijd van je Leven' project and Stichting Vrolijkheid at AZC Gilze. Dorry has contributed to the field of arts education as a member of the Innovatieteam at Stichting Nieuwe Veste and previously taught at Surplus, Brede School. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from Jan van Eyckacademie and St. Joost Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, Dorry integrates artistic practice with education, creating tailored projects for both youth in care systems and participants in community workshops.
