Olaolu Akinsete has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors. In 2008, they worked as an Account Officer for Access Bank Plc. From 2008 to 2010, they also worked as a Foreign Exchange Trader and Tutor as a freelancer. In 2011, they joined the University of Sussex as a Researcher & Programmer at the Genome Damage and Stability Centre. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at MFM TV Transmission, where they developed Android and iOS apps, implemented REST APIs, and improved organizational productivity through automation. Starting in 2016, they worked part-time as a DevOps and Software Engineer for CleverAge Global Media Technology, where they automated various tasks related to Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins. In 2019, they worked at Andela as a Team Lead, DevOps, managing a remote team and handling cloud infrastructure and CI/CD concerns. Also in 2019, they became the Lead Solutions Architect at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement Systems PLC, where they designed solutions, improved development delivery time, and designed key strategy projects for enhanced support service delivery.
Olaolu Akinsete received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Lagos in 2006. Olaolu later pursued a Masters degree in Chemical Biology at the University of Sussex from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Olaolu obtained various certifications in programming languages and web development through SoloLearn, including Python, Ruby, C#, Java, HTML, Swift, jQuery, SQL, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript, with completion dates ranging from 2015 to 2017.
