Maksim Zalkovskij has a strong background in process and development engineering. Maksim began their career at DTU Fotonik in 2010, where they completed their Ph.D. and focused on terahertz time-domain spectroscopy of chalcogenide glasses and devices for terahertz radiation manipulation. During this time, they published nine papers in peer-reviewed journals. In 2013, they joined NIL Technology as a Process and Development Engineer, where they played a key role in creating, planning, and completing internal R&D projects. Maksim also helped international collaborators define EU-funded R&D projects and successfully delivered technical deliverables on time. Additionally, they optimized process and quality validation stages through direct collaboration with tool suppliers. In 2023, they were promoted to the role of Senior Process and Development Engineer, where they continue to excel.
Maksim Zalkovskij's education history starts in 1999 when they attended Hvidovre Gymnasium & HF and obtained their Baccalaureate degree. From 2002 to 2009, they pursued a degree in Nanoscience at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, earning a Cand.scient. Following a significant gap in their formal education, they enrolled in various professional certificate programs on Coursera. In 2022-2023, they completed a Professional Certificate in Project Management (by Google) and further expanded their knowledge in 2023 with Professional Certificates in Design of Experiments and Python for Everybody.
