Nicolás Freyer Acea

Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Chris previously worked as a Firmware Engineer in the same company, developing firmware and diagnostic tools for similar educational innovations. Prior experience includes serving as an Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary. Early career involvement as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom focused on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
