Sandy Cruz

Sandy Cruz has been working in the software engineering field since 2021. Sandy began their career as a Software Engineer at Teleport, where they successfully and safely migrated an entire application from Hugo to Next.js React in 3 months. Sandy also implemented pixel perfect UI designs, improved reliability by enforcing stricter TypeScript configurations, advocated for and implemented Playwright end-to-end testing, sped up continuous integration, increased page performance, improved accessibility, provided workshops, implemented A/B testing, improved MDX AST parsing, configured indexing strategy and parsing of Algolia search data, and fixed thousands of static analysis violations. In 2020, Sandy worked as a Freelance Software Engineer. From 2014 to 2021, they were the Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist at Word of Mouth Speech Pathology. From 2011 to 2021, Sandy worked as a Copy Editor for The Pacifican and a Student Writing Center Writing Mentor for the University of the Pacific.

Sandy Cruz completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of the Pacific between 2008 and 2012. Sandy then pursued a Master of Science at Northeastern University, which they completed in 2014. In 2021, Sandy obtained a Triplebyte Certified Front-end Engineer certification from Triplebyte. Additionally, they have completed Software Engineering training at App Academy.
