Kia Amiri

Kia Amiri is an experienced product manager with a background in technology and software development. Kia co-founded Plato Systems and led product, customer, and market fit discovery, launching their 0-to-1 products. At Uber, they led the UberEats Marketplace product, developed a globally scalable Marketplace product, and fought against the most sophisticated fraud patterns, leading a team to build innovative products to prevent and mitigate fraud and security attacks. At Box, they were the first Enterprise Security PM, developed the company's Enterprise Security strategy, and shipped several products, setting a new industry standard for offering key management capability for cloud providers. Kia began their career as a research assistant at the Center for Multimedia Communication (CMC) Lab, Rice University, and worked as a signal processing engineer for Xilinx Inc. Kia is currently the Head of Product at NimbleRx as of 2023.

Kia Amiri received a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University in 2007, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the same field from the same university in 2010. In 2009, Amiri obtained a Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate from Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship.
