Layth Mula-Hussain, MB ChB, MSc, EF, FRCP Edin, currently serves as the Regional Adviser for Eastern Canada at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh since June 2024, alongside roles as a Radiation Oncologist at Nova Scotia Health Authority and Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University, both starting September 2023. Layth holds a Visiting Professor position at Ninevah University since March 2022 and previously worked as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center until August 2023. Layth's extensive experience includes serving on the Board of Directors at Rayos Contra Cancer, a Physician in Radiation Oncology at The Ottawa Hospital, and as a Fellow Physician at Cross Cancer Institute. Layth's career began with a Consultant role at Zhianawa Cancer Center, coupled with significant contributions to the Kurdistan Board for Medical Specialties, where Layth was the Founder Director of the Radiation Oncology Program. Educational credentials include a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology from the University of Calgary and a Master of Science in Advanced Oncology from the University of Ulm, among others.
