Daniela Gurau (Radu)

Daniela (Radu) Gurau has extensive experience in scientific research, primarily at the Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering, where contributions include conducting radionuclide measurements and analyses, overseeing the safe application of nuclear techniques across various sectors, and participating in significant technological advancements related to radioactive waste management. With a strong focus on gamma-ray spectrometry, Daniela has performed analyses using advanced detectors in various environments, contributing to projects like the VVR-S RN decommissioning. Additionally, prior roles at the National Agency of Environmental Protection and the National Institute for Research and Development in Environment Protection involved gamma-ray spectrometry of environmental samples. Daniela holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics, a Master's in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, and a Bachelor's in Biophysics from the University of Bucharest.
