Tormod Selbekk

Tormod Selbekk is a seasoned professional in the field of medical technology, currently serving as the Senior Research Manager for Cardiovascular Ultrasound at GE Vingmed Ultrasound since October 2023. Selbekk has been the Chairman of the Board and CTO at Nisonic since September 2018, contributing to the development of non-invasive ultrasound technology for intracranial pressure measurements. Previously, Selbekk held the position of Chief Technology Officer at SonoClear AS until October 2023 and spent over 17 years at SINTEF as a Research Manager and Senior Research Scientist, focusing on ultrasound and image-guided therapy in neurosurgery. Other notable roles include working as a Chairman at TCAM AS and a Research Geophysicist at PGS Research. Selbekk holds a PhD in Medical Technology and advanced degrees in Acoustics and Electronics/Telecommunications from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Trondheim College of Engineering.
