Joseph Constanty has extensive work experience, starting in 2002 as a Regional Sales Representative at Reliance Standard. Joseph then worked as a Due Diligence Analyst at Lehman, Lee & Xu LLP, where they advised international clients on incorporation in China. From 2005 to 2010, they co-founded and directed Tangential Consulting, a start-up studio managing early-stage companies. During this time, they gained expertise in foreign direct investment, labor laws, corporate structuring, and tax strategies in China. Joseph also co-founded Huanzhi Technologies Co., where they served as the Co-Founder and Strategy Director, pioneering the first multi-site daily deal exchange in China. Joseph raised significant funding for the platform. In 2012, they co-founded Unbelievable Testing Laboratory, a footwear design house, which became the most funded footwear Kickstarter project in 2013 and 2014. Joseph raised additional funding and established two brands selling in over 20 countries. From 2007 to 2016, Joseph was a Co-founder and Advisor at NextStep [F&B] Studio, where they developed the concept and strategy for successful entrepreneur networking events and professional workshops in China. Currently, they are the Director of Global Strategy & Corporate Development at NIU Technologies, the largest smart-mobility company globally. Their role involves exploring opportunities for building a new billion-dollar mobility business across multiple countries.
Joseph Constanty's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics, Political Science and Government, and Urban Studies/Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. In 2000, they also studied Mandarin Language at Peking University. In 2001, they pursued International Finance at The University of Hong Kong. In 2003 and 2004, Joseph attended National Taiwan Normal University to study Mandarin Language.
Continuing their education, Joseph enrolled in Harvard Business School Online in 2019 to deepen their knowledge in Accounting and Finance, focusing on Financial Accounting through online courses. Joseph is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Sustainable Energy at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance & Entrepreneurship at the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Joseph is expected to complete both degrees in 2025.
