Brandon Goeller is an experienced Riparian and Wetland Scientist at NIWA since October 2018, focusing on contaminant mitigation tools to improve water quality and ecosystem functions in agricultural waterways. Prior experience includes serving as an Environmental Policy Analyst at Ecologic Institute in Berlin, where work centered on the Water Framework Directive, and as a Visiting Scientist at the Leibniz Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries. Additionally, Brandon has held various positions related to fisheries management, research, and education. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in stream rehabilitation from the University of Canterbury, an M.Sc. in Fishery Science and Aquaculture from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and a B.Sc. in Biology, Environmental Science, and German from Allegheny College.
