Shanandore Brown

Shanandore Brown is an experienced educator and researcher, currently serving as a Lecturer at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi in the Bachelor of Environmental Studies program and as a Fisheries Field Researcher for NIWA. Previous roles include Kaiako Putaiao at Te Wharekura o Mauao and Specialist Teacher of Technology at Papakura Intermediate School, where Shanandore developed innovative educational programs integrating STEAMM and biotechnological principles. Shanandore possesses an extensive academic background with multiple degrees, including a Master of Technological Futures and Postgraduate Certificates in Applied Practice and Connected Environments. A strong advocate for Maori education, Shanandore emphasizes the incorporation of indigenous knowledge within the curriculum and has a solid foundation in environmental studies, demonstrated through various teaching and tutoring roles.
