Med Michele Nelson

Michele Nelson, MEd, is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in special education, currently serving as a Special Education Teacher in the Nixa Public Schools Human Resources Department since August 2014, focusing on 8th Grade English Language Arts and 7th/8th Grade Functional Social Studies. Over the years, Michele has held various teaching positions, including roles in the Washoe County School District and Bishop Manogue Catholic High School, as well as a Learning Specialist at the University of Nevada Reno. Prior experience includes teaching in middle schools at the Kyrene School District and Chandler Unified School District, alongside a position as a Para Reading Teacher and Cheer Coach at Pullman Unified School District. Michele obtained a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Nevada, Reno, and has pursued additional studies at Arizona State University, University of Phoenix, and Scottsdale Community College.
