Chris Luetjen

Director of Engineering at nLIGHT

Chris Luetjen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2010 at Timbercon as an Assembler, they later worked as a Research Assistant at Willamette University, focusing on laser systems and magneto-optical traps. In 2006, they joined Mail Box Solutions as a Warehouse Inventory Manager, overseeing shipments, inventory, and customer service. Chris then joined ESI in 2014 as a Laser and Optics Engineer, conducting research and evaluating new devices and processes. Currently, they are with nLIGHT, where they have held multiple positions since 2015, including Director of Engineering and Principal Systems Engineer. Overall, Chris has gained expertise in engineering, research, product management, and leadership throughout their career.

Chris Luetjen began their education in 2010, attending Willamette University. Chris completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics, studying at the university until 2014. Following this, Chris went on to pursue a higher level of education at the University of Oregon. From 2014 to 2015, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics.
