Syed Ali Hashmi has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Syed Ali currently serves as the Vice President of Financial Planning Analysis at NMC Healthcare, where they report directly to the Group CFO and is responsible for board and executive management reporting, as well as driving financial performance across the organization.

Prior to this, Hashmi worked at Sidra Medical and Research Center, where they held two roles. First, as a Finance Business Partner - Director, they provided financial expertise to the organization from June 2017 to January 2023. Then, as a Treasury & Corporate Finance Manager, they joined the team before the opening of the hospital and was involved in various finance-related projects.

Before joining Sidra, Hashmi was the Head of the Finance Transformation Service Line - Consulting at Deloitte from October 2011 to November 2014.

Syed Ali also worked at Goodrich as a Finance Planning & Analysis Manager and Finance Manager, where they reported to different executives and was responsible for various financial functions such as consolidation and reporting, strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Their tenure at Goodrich lasted from August 2006 to September 2011.

Hashmi began their career at PwC as an Assistant Manager, where they developed audit plans, managed audit teams, and worked on special tasks such as compliance reporting and due diligence assignments. Syed Ali worked at PwC from October 2001 to July 2006.

Syed Ali Hashmi (FCA, MBA) completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy, Corporate Finance, and Management from Alliance Manchester Business School in the years 2008-2011. Prior to that, they attended City School from 1997-1999 and received their A Levels qualification. Additionally, in the years 2001-2004, they pursued Chartered Accountancy from ICAEW.
