Lou serves as the C.E.O. of No Ordinary Moments and as the Director of both the Supported Living and the Crisis Team divisions. Lou began his career with the developmentally disabled in 1973. His expertise in working with those that are the most difficult and the most challenging is what led him to begin his own supported living program in 1996. Shortly after beginning the supported living program Lou was asked to secure the role of serving on the Mobile Intervention Team for the Regional Center of Orange County. In his 50 years in the field he has worked in every type of setting that serves the developmentally disabled/mentally ill (large residential facilities, schools, group homes, job sites, hospitals, psychiatric units, etc.). Lou has been described as being one of the most skilled “crisis” workers in the state. Lou has been an MAB, PART, CPI, and Pro-Act Instructor over the years as well as an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid instructor for many years. Lou received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Regional Center of Orange County in 2006 along with other awards along the way.
