Lauren Leone

Lauren Brinkac Leone, PMP, is an experienced professional in the fields of life sciences and bioinformatics, currently serving as the Life Sciences and Bioinformatics Manager at Noblis since July 2019. With a comprehensive background that includes positions such as Staff Scientist at the J. Craig Venter Institute and Bioinformatics Project Manager, Lauren has conducted extensive research on the human microbiome, focusing on antimicrobial resistance and its implications for health and forensic investigations. Lauren's expertise encompasses managing bioinformatics projects, leading teams, and enhancing genomic analysis tools. An educator as well, Lauren has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Northern Virginia Community College and Johns Hopkins University. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Syracuse University.
