Michael Dawson

Michael Dawson serves as the Node.js lead for Red Hat and IBM since September 2020, while also being a collaborator and Technical Steering Committee member for the Node.js Project since May 2015. Dawson has held the position of Software Developer and President at Devrus Technologies since September 1997. Previous experience includes serving as the OpenJS Community Board Director from July 2019 to August 2022 and as a Senior Software Developer at IBM Canada from March 2005 to September 2020. Dawson's earlier roles include Senior Solution Architect at Emergis, Senior Software Architect at Chrysalis-ITS, Director of Product Development at Sagus Security Incorporated, and Design Engineer/Senior INFOSEC Consultant at AEPOS Technologies. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
