David Francis

David Francis has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. David currently works as an Engineering Manager at Nomad Global Communication Solutions since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineer at Hill Technical Solutions from November 2022 to March 2023. From June 2018 to October 2022, they were a Robotics Navigation Engineer at Leidos. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems from October 2014 to June 2018. David also worked as a Research Engineer at Predictive Design Technologies from May 2013 to September 2014. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as an Undergrad Worker at the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems from May 2008 to May 2009, and as a Mechanical Engineer Co-op at Diversified Technology from May 2006 to December 2007.

David Francis has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. David earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University, where they attended from 2004 to 2009. Following this, David Francis pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering at Mississippi State University from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, David Francis has also obtained several certifications in the field of machine learning. David has completed courses such as "Deep Learning," "Sequence Models," "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera. These certifications were obtained between October 2017 and March 2018.
