José Ruivo has worked in a variety of roles since 2000. José began their career as Director of Finance and Planning at Iconorte in 2000. José then moved to Hestia as General Director in 2006. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Colaborador at Cooperativa Sitio, where they worked to produce, investigate, document, and disseminate solutions that allowed people and communities to better understand and control productive activities. Lastly, they were the CEO of Noocity from 2013 to present, where they work to create communities around vegetable gardens in public or private spaces, promoting eco-transition.
José Ruivo completed a Permaculture Design Course at the British Permaculture Association in 2010, a course in Agroforestry at TIBÁ in 2009, and studied Management at Atlântico Business School.
