Lisa Foster has a diverse work experience. Lisa began working as an Ambassador for the fair trade company, Noonday Collection, in 2011, where they represented the company and sold fashionable accessories. In this role, Lisa advocated for orphans by providing jobs for women and promoting socially responsible capitalism. Lisa also served as a Team Manager & Coach and Manager/Sales Coach for the same company. Additionally, Lisa worked as a Beekeeper for The Foster's Meadow and as a Potter while being self-employed.

Lisa Foster obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing/International Studies from Western Connecticut State University in 1989. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1987, they studied International/Global Studies at Schiller International University Heidelberg Campus. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in "An Introduction to the U.S. Food System: Perspectives from Public Health" from Coursera in March 2013.
