Ad Smit

Ad Smit is an accomplished leader in the packaging and textiles industry, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Stora Enso since December 2023. Notably, Ad Smit has held significant roles such as Executive Vice President of Packaging Solutions at Nooteboom Textiles and Advisory Board Member, along with serving on the Supervisory Board at Clondalkin Group since December 2016. Previously, Ad Smit was the Group Chief Executive Officer of De Jong Packaging Group until December 2023 and CEO of De Jong Verpakking BV from October 2012 to September 2020. Ad Smit also held the CEO position at Stepah nv, a company focusing on producing 100% compostable bio-polymers from whey. Earlier experience includes leading the Specialties Division at Smurfit Kappa Group from December 2005 to February 2012.
