James Wilson

James Wilson began their career in 2004 as a Software and Network Security Consultant, co-founding and successfully exiting an educational e-commerce product. In 2010, they joined NewBay Software as a Senior Professional Services Engineer. In 2012, James was recruited by Aspera Software (acquired by IBM) as the Head of Engineering for SaaS Engineering and Test Engineering, leading the Core, SDK, Middleware team, QA and Quality Engineering for Java, .NET, and C++ SDK product, and the cloud licensing system. James was promoted to Director of Engineering for the Aspera Platform in 2013, and again in 2017 to Head of Engineering for Aspera / Emeryville Labs. In this role, they provided oversight for all aspects of operations, people development and financial performance as well as 24 x 7 operations and L3 support globally for Aspera on Cloud. In 2021, James joined nOps.io as the Vice President of Engineering.

James Wilson graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
