Marja Karppinen

Marja Karppinen is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Energy Analyst at Nord Pool AS since April 2004. With a focus on integrating European electricity markets, Marja contributes to the specification and design of system requirements and architectures, as well as the development of price and flow calculation algorithms and new products for spot markets. Prior experience includes a role as Senior System Architect at Nord Pool ASA from January 2001 to March 2004 and as a System Developer at Telenor between 1997 and 2001. Marja holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geology from the University of Helsinki and has completed studies at the University of Oslo.
