Joëlle Fréchette-Viens has a diverse range of work experience. Joëlle currently works as an Applied Quantum Systems and Simulations Developer at Nord Quantique since May 2022. Before that, they were a Research Professional at Université de Sherbrooke from March 2021 to March 2022 and Head of Signal Processing and Prototyping at ALL WAVES TECHNOLOGIES from March 2021 to March 2022. Joëlle also worked as an Intern at Mecanum Inc. in 2018, a Data Analysis - Operational Research Intern at Lean Systems (Techstars NYC '17) from September 2017 to December 2017, and as a Research Intern at Université de Sherbrooke in 2017, where they focused on designing novel wavelets for 2D image compression and measuring electron energy relaxation times. Lastly, they were a Research and Development Intern at CTT Group from September 2014 to August 2015, where they worked on developing thermally insulating textiles.
Joëlle Fréchette-Viens completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics at the Université de Sherbrooke from 2015 to 2018. Before that, they pursued Sciences pures at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe and obtained their D.É.C. from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Joëlle participated in a math camp called "Camp mathématique de l'AMQ" at the Université de Montréal in 2015. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (research) at the Université de Sherbrooke from 2019 to 2020.
