David Morris

David Morris is a seasoned database systems manager with extensive experience in overseeing large teams and managing complex database environments. At Norfolk Southern Corporation, David has held the position of Manager of Database Systems since November 2007, leading a team of nearly twenty-five database administrators and supporting over 12,000 databases across various platforms, including DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle. David played a key role in the vendor selection and infrastructure buildout for the company's first Big Data initiative. Prior to this, David served as a Senior Technology Engineer, providing architectural oversight and expertise in Microsoft database solutions. David's earlier experience includes roles at TechBridge, Inc. as an Ambassador, where efforts focused on providing technology and business consulting to nonprofits, and as Lead Database Architect at InTouch Ministries. David's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from Columbia University.
