Ana María Contreras Aguilar has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ana María started their career as a Science Tutor in 2009 while being self-employed. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Primary School Tutor for Celemin / Andalusian Regional Government. In 2014, Ana María briefly worked as a High School Teacher Apprentice at IES Aurantia. Ana María then joined KBN Kommunalbanken in 2015 as a Junior Analyst. In 2016, they transitioned to Norges Bank Investment Management, where they initially worked as an Analyst and later as a Senior Quantitative Analyst.

Ana María Contreras Aguilar has an extensive education history. Ana María obtained their Middle School degree from IES Aurantia in 2005. Ana María then pursued a High School degree with a Technological itinerary at IES Bahía de Almería from 2005 to 2007.

In 2007, Ana María began their undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Almería, where they earned an Engineer's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Systems in 2013. During this time, they also obtained a B2 English certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2011.

Continuing their academic journey, Ana María pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics at the Universidad de Almería from 2013 to 2014. Ana María concurrently completed a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, focusing on Mathematics. Furthermore, in 2013, they obtained an A2 Norsk certification in the Norwegian language from NTNU.

Ana María's education journey also included an Erasmus program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2012-2013, where they studied Mathematics. Ana María later completed their Master's degree in Mathematics at NTNU during the same period.

Adding to their certifications, Ana María obtained a C1 English (CAE) certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2014 and a Test i Norsk - Høyere nivå (Higher Level Norwegian Test) certification from the University of Bergen (UiB) in 2017.
