Mads G. Kristensen has a diverse work experience in the field of internal audit and finance. Mads G. began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Associate/Senior Associate from January 2002 to April 2006. Mads G. then joined DnB NOR as a Revisor from April 2006 to August 2007. Mads then returned to PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked as a Manager from August 2007 to June 2009 and as a Senior Manager from July 2009 to March 2011. In April 2011, Mads joined Norges Bank as an Assistant Director Internal Audit and held this position until November 2017. Mads G. then became the Acting Head of Internal Audit at Norges Bank from November 2017 to September 2018. Currently, Mads is the Deputy Head of the Internal Audit function at Norges Bank, a position they have held since September 2018.

Mads G. Kristensen pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their diploma of higher education in Business Organisation from Heriot-Watt University in the years 1997-1999. Mads G. then attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 1999-2001, where they received a Siviløkonom / Master degree with a specialization in Finance. Later, in 2004-2005, Mads studied at BI Norwegian Business School, obtaining a Statsautorisert revisor / Master in Accounting and Auditing.

In addition to their formal education, Mads G. Kristensen obtained the certification of Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in July 2016.
