Kjell Røang

Kjell Røang is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and maritime sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser for the MAROFF program at The Research Council of Norway since January 2012, Kjell has previously held multiple roles at Christian Michelsen Research, including Business Developer and Department Manager for the Maritime department from 1998 to January 2012. Earlier career positions include Senior System Analyst at Dikas and Project Manager at Simrad, as well as research roles at Christian Michelsen Research and Chr. Michelsen Institute CMI. Kjell began a career in the military as a Torpedo Officer on submarine KNM Sklinna with the Royal Norwegian Navy. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich and training as a Sub-lieutenant at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy.
