Melissa Richard

Melissa Richard is a seasoned communication professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and marketing. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota since May 2023, Melissa previously held the role of Communication Director for the City of West Fargo from November 2016 to May 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Marketing Supervisor at Concordia College, where strategic marketing efforts were directed for the college's foodservice department, and as Senior Account Executive at Padilla Speer Beardsley, where integrated marketing communications were executed. Melissa has also contributed to the National Agri-Marketing Association as Program Chair and worked as an Assistant Account Manager at Karwoski & Courage Public Relations. Educational credentials include dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Communication and Speech Communications, Political Science, and Mass Communications from North Dakota State University.
