Deniz Kılınç

Deniz Kılınç has extensive work experience in various roles and positions.

From 2023, Deniz has been working at Norm Digital as the CTO and Software and Artificial Intelligence Director.

Prior to this, in 2019, Deniz started working at İzmir Bakırçay Üniversitesi as a Professor. Deniz had also held the positions of Associate Professor and Director of Data Analytics and Spatial Data Modeling Application and Research Center at the same institution.

In 2020, Deniz founded Kalybe.AI.

Starting from 2021, Deniz has been serving as an Editor for the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Theory and Applications.

From 2016, Deniz worked at Commencis as an Academic Consultant and as a Researcher for the TUBITAK Project - Workonom.

Deniz worked at Celal Bayar University from 2013, where Deniz held the positions of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and BAUM (Bilgisayar Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi) Müdürü.

From 2016 to 2017, Deniz worked as an R&D Project Consultant at Norm.

From 2014 to 2016, Deniz worked as a DEMIR Research Member at Dokuz Eylul Multimedia Information Retrieval (DEMIR) Research Group.

From 2005 to 2013, Deniz worked at Univera Computer Systems AS as the Software and Technology Director. During this time, Deniz also served as the Project Manager for TEYDEB/TUBITAK Projects and held various other responsibilities such as founding the Univera Test Department and R&D Department.

From 2004 to 2005, Deniz worked at Nesnel Yazılım as the Software Manager and Company Founding Partner. Deniz played a key role in developing the Nesnel Software Kernel and Component Set, as well as other products such as Store Management and n-sound Sound Management.

Deniz Kılınç's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at Dokuz Eylul University for their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering. They completed this program in 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, Deniz continued their education at Dokuz Eylul University for their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Engineering, which lasted from 2002 to 2004.

After obtaining their Master's degree, Deniz pursued further academic achievements by enrolling in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Computer Engineering at Dokuz Eylul University. This program lasted from 2004 to 2010, allowing Deniz to specialize in their field of interest.

In addition to their formal education, Deniz has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. They became an Intermec Certified Engineer (RFID Specialization) in September 2007 and achieved the MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification in June 2007. Deniz also holds the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certified Test Engineer certification, which they obtained in 2009. Moreover, they obtained the certification for Effective Communication from Prometheus in 2010. Lastly, Deniz achieved an Agile & Scrum Certification from ACM, though the specific date of acquisition is not provided.
