Christian Vogelsang is an experienced research scientist at NIVA, serving since October 2000. Specializing in the testing of treatment technologies for various water types, Christian focuses on biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes for domestic and industrial wastewaters, drinking water, aquaculture recirculation systems, ballast water, and leachate. Prior to this role, Christian was a PhD student at NTNU from 1993 to 1999, where research centered around the thesis “Gel entrapment in open systems – nitrification in wastewater treatment.” Christian holds a Siv. Eng. degree and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), completed in 1999.
