Endre Steigum

Endre Steigum is a researcher at the Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since December 2020, focusing on aquaculture and various water research projects related to fish farming. Prior to this role, Endre held positions at VWR, part of Avantor, as a Key Account Manager from January 2014 to December 2020, overseeing technical sales and customer relations. Endre also served as an Account Manager at Intrafish Media AS, engaging in sales and marketing from February 2012 to January 2014. Earlier experience includes work as a Research Biologist at Genok - Centre for biosafety, where Endre conducted genetic analyses and contributed to establishing a GMO detection lab in Zambia. Further experience includes consulting for Mowi Scotland on fish farm feeding strategies, assisting with environmental assessments at Inland Fisheries Ireland, and supporting educational data reporting at Senter for internasjonalisering av utdanning. Endre's educational background includes a Master of Science in Nutrition Sciences and a Bachelor in Aquaculture from the University of Bergen, along with one year of studies in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin.
