Ramon Tavenor has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering and renewable energy industries since 2008. Ramon began their career as a Project Engineer at Process Technology Integrators, where they worked on mechanical piping and process design in the food industry. In 2009, they moved to Sustainable Projects as a Trainee Engineer, designing and developing self-sustainable communities using solar and wind energies. In 2010, they joined Polyoak Packaging as a Project Engineer for the DairyPack Tubs Division, gaining experience in the plastic packaging industry. In 2014, they became the Owner of RJT Engineering Services, providing contracting engineering services and registered supplier to Polyoak Packaging and PTI Projects. In 2016, they moved to New Southern Energy as the Chief Operations Officer, building scalable/repeatable operations and managing company outputs through a team of in-house professionals. Ramon is currently the Country Manager - South Africa at Norsk Solar.
Ramon Tavenor attended Parel Vallei High School from 1998 to 2002, and then went on to pursue a BSC Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Cape Town from 2003 to 2008. In April 2021, they obtained a Procore Certified: Project Manager (Core Tools) certification from Procore Technologies.
