Catherine Timoney

Catherine (Kate) Timoney is an accomplished professional in applied mathematics and data science, currently serving as the Risk Analytics Lead at North since September 2024. Previously, Catherine worked as an Epidemiologist at the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, where data science solutions were developed to enhance understanding of disease epidemiology in Ireland. Catherine's experience includes a role as Programme Manager for Data Science at the Health Service Executive and Research Manager at the University of Limerick's Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry. Catherine has also taught various mathematics courses at the University of Limerick and contributed to 3D modeling and algorithm development at colormass. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and a series of degrees in Mathematical Modelling and Mathematical Science from the University of Limerick and University College Dublin.
