Alex P Michael

Alex P Michael, MD, currently serves as Chair of both the Public Outreach Committee and Public Affairs Committee at the North American Spine Society since August 2020. In addition, Alex Michael is a Neurological Surgeon at Mercy, a position held since June 2021, and serves on the Professional Advisory Board for the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis since July 2021. Previously, Alex Michael contributed to the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Tumors as a Social Media Committee Member from December 2019 to September 2021 and participated in the Online Education Task Force for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons from November 2019 to October 2020. Alex Michael holds a BA in Biology and Psychology from Saint Louis University (2005-2009) and an MD from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (2010-2014) after completing a residency in Neurosurgery. A fellowship in Neurosurgery was completed at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
