Gene O'Neill

Gene O'Neill has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gene began their career in 1979 as an Accountant at Texaco and later worked as a Financial Analyst at Sterling Drug, Inc. In 1986, they joined Harcourt Brace Jovanovich as a Senior Internal Auditor. From 1989 to 1990, they served as the Manager of Accounting at Boardwalk and Baseball, followed by a role as Director of Accounting at SeaWorld Orlando from 1990 to 1998. In 1992, they became the General Manager at Baseball City Sports Complex until 1998. O'Neill then joined The Institute of Internal Auditors as a Controller from 1998 to 2009, and subsequently served as the Vice President of North American Relationship Management from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they briefly worked as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at The Institute of Internal Auditors - Australia. Since 2013, O'Neill has been with the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), where they initially served as the Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer. Gene later became the Chief Executive Officer, a role they currently hold. At NAVC, they have played a significant role in organizing the annual NAVC Conference and providing professional development for the global veterinary healthcare community.

Gene O'Neill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Saint Peter's University, where they attended from 1975 to 1979. In 1984, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy.
