Shannon Kemp

Shannon Kemp has extensive experience in communications and marketing, currently serving as the Communications and Marketing Manager at North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores since December 2015, following a role as a Public Relations Communications Specialist. Previous positions include Children's Literature Section Associate at Edward McKay Used Books & More, Manager at Carlo's Vintage Clothing and Costumes, and various roles in creative and reporting capacities, such as a Staff Reporter for Carteret County News-Times and Secretary for Beaufort Music Festival. Shannon holds a BA in English Literature from Meredith College, and has a background in arts and retail, demonstrated through work at Bathing Beauties Bead Store and Carlo's Vintage Clothing. Additionally, experience as an Assistant at Kemp Fisheries includes logo design and photography.
